Perhaps the most popular restaurant in Asheville and the one visitors to the city flock to in droves, Curate was conceived by Katy Button, James beard awarded celebrity chef who trained under Ferran Adria at El Bulli in Spain.  This tapas themed restaurant is always busy and it can be difficult to get a reservation here.  The best way to approach them menu is to have your waiter make recommendations based on what’s special that day and what you feel like eating.  I find that the sausage links are amazing but their availability is unpredictable as they come on and off the menu as  if they were a seasonal delicacy.  I also recommend the thinly sliced iberico ham dish, patatas bravas (fried potato wedges), pan con tamate (toasted bread with tomato) , escalivada (egg plant)and the sardinas curadas (sardines).  Desserts are a must.  Take Uber and plan to drink two bottles of Spanish wine.
