The second restaurant venture of the two fellows who own and operate Corner Kitchen in Biltmore Village, Chestnut is a farm to fork eatery with very creative interpretations of American staples and homemade desserts in a cozy 1920s brick building in downtown. The bar is very comfortable and usually available for dining when the restaurant is fully booked. The menu changes with the seasons but the Lobster Bisque has a committed following and never leaves the menu. All of the proteins are represented on the menu (lamb included) at least once and the side dishes are scrumptious but usually fried. The artichoke hearts and the pickled fried green tomatoes are spectacular and a meal in themselves. Extensive wine selections with the full range of prices.
Hours: 5:00pm-9:30pm for dinner, 10:30am-2:30pm for brunch on Saturday and Sunday
