Owned by Owen and Mindi McGlynn of Asheville Proper, this is a small, homey little neighborhood restaurant in the posh north part of town near Grove Park, but in a very unlikely strip center location. Don’t let that turn you off as this is a good spot with a comfortable neighborhood bar. They normally have a fresh fish and a meat special as entrees and the fresh vegetable selection changes seasonally. Like Asheville proper, the veg portions are large and can be enough for a meal. I like the baked cabbage wedge, beets with goat cheese, sunchokes and salads; all in “sharable” portions.
