With Brooklyn roots, this is a classic Italian American “Sunday Gravy” neighborhood restaurant. The meatballs and spaghetti are hard to beat. A simple marinara with a complex layer of flavors. They sell it bottled so take some home. Featured items like Baked Lasagna, Eggplant Parmesan, Chicken Piccata, Chicken Paillard and Chicken Marsala haunt the menu. Good service and hefty portions that are perilously filling. Nice wine selection but a tiny bar. Sit inside or out. Bada Bing!
They also have a south Asheville location on Hendersonville Rd in Biltmore Forest. It has a larger bar but everything else is pretty much the same.
